We at Petrosin believe that we do not operate in isolation but have responsibilities to our employees and the society in which we operate. In order to practice good global citizenship, we must engage in new relationships with a broad range of stakeholders ranging from customers, employees and shareowners to government agencies, corporations and multilaterals – in order to co-invent sustainable, mutually beneficial ways to conduct business all over the world. We intend to lead as an exemplary global citizen, by taking action in several areas:
- Our vision is to deliver value to our customers without compromising the health of the planet. We continuously strive to operate our facilities in a manner that is environmentally sound and conserving resources wherever possible.
- We encourage our employees to engage in communities across the globe. We seek to provide opportunities for them to apply their time and talent, in person or via the web, to help solve problems.
- In the near future, we are formulating plans for village adoption in countries where our businesses are located, and transforming the village into a Petrosin village by providing assistance towards health, infrastructure and education for the village.
Community investment is a business imperative and not just another activity. It requires the same standards, discipline and excellence as any other part of our business and needs to be managed just as professionally.
